After being released by Millwall after the 2005/06 season, he spent most of the summer at Rovers, playing numerous pre-season friendlies before signing a two year deal on the 29th July 2006. Previously, he had played for Portsmouth, Reading, Luton Town and Swindon Town.

In his first full Rovers season, Igoe was a first team regular making more than 40 appearances. The biggest highlight of his 2006/07 season was scoring the winning goal for Rovers in the 3-1 win over Shrewsbury Town in the League Two Play-Off Final. He also scored in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final defeat against Doncaster Rovers.

The following season was tough for Igoe with impressive performances by the likes of David Pipe and Chris Lines his first team options were mainly limited to covering for injuries and substitute apperances. On 23 March 2008 it was announced that his contract, which was due to expire at the end of the 2007-08 season, would not be extended and he was placed on the transfer list. On March 27, 2008 Igoe joined Hereford United on a one-month loan deal before being released on 14 May 2008.

On 5 August 2008 he signed a one-year contract with AFC Bournemouth, following a successful trial period with the club, which was later extended to a second year. He was released by The Cherries in 2010, having played 49 League and eight cup games, scoring three times in League Two, once in the FA Cup and once in the Football League Trophy. He went on to join Blue Square South side Havant & Waterlooville, turning down an offer from Luton Town.
