Moussa Dagnogo is a much-travelled French forward who spent just three months at Rovers at the end of 2000. He was signed by manager Ian Holloway on a month-to-month rolling contract when he joined from Portuguese side União da Madeira, but after making just two substitute appearances without scoring he left the club, joining Scottish team St Mirren a month later.

His debut for Rovers came in a 3–3 draw with Luton Town in Division Two on 30 September 2000, when he came on as a 63rd-minute substitute for Mark Walters, and he made his only other appearance for the club three weeks later, coming on as an 86th-minute substitute for Micky Evans in a 3–1 win over Swindon Town. His two appearances combine to a total of 31 minutes playing time.

Moussa has played for fifteen different clubs, in six different countries, starting out in his home nation of France, playing for FC Nantes. He went on to join Pau FC, FC Les Lilas, ES Viry-Châtillon, US Sénart-Moissy, Angoulême CFC and RCF Paris, before leaving France for Portugal to join União da Madeira in 1999. After a year in Portugal he moved to the UK, having spells with Bristol Rovers in England and St Mirren in Scotland, sandwiched around an unsuccessful trial at Aberdeen.

From St Mirren he moved on to KR Reykjavik, where he was a teammate of future Rovers player Sergio Ommel, and after a brief stay there he went back to France to join Red Star 93, a club founded by Jules Rimet. This was followed by a spell at Saint-Colomban Locminé, before making another foreign move, this time in 2002 to America, where he played for Indiana Blast and Cincinnati Kings. In 2007 he moved to the Indianapolis Braves, a team that only competed for a single season before folding at the end of the year. While in Indianapolis he taught soccer skills to local children, coaching at a soccer school.
