He is the son of Wayne Powell.
Career[]
During his stay at Rovers, Lewis was sent out on loan to Mangotsfield United where he scored on his debut. After his release by Rovers in the summer of 2007 he signed for Weston-super-Mare, and after a year at the Woodspring Stadium he joined Clevedon Town in 2008 and Chippenham Town in 2009, via a month-long stay at Tiverton Town. He ended the 2009–10 season as the fourth highest scorer in the Southern League Premier Division, netting 26 times, and he also picked up the club's young player of the year award, as well as being the supporters' player of the year.
He remained at Chippenham for a third season in 2011–12, but was forced to miss a third of the season due to breaking his leg in January. He left the Bluebirds that summer to join up with their divisional rivals Leamington, a club that had been temporarily managed by his father three years earlier, but he opted to leave them shortly before the start of the season due to the time spent travelling proving too much for him. He opted to join Frome Town instead, and he featured regularly for them during the first half of the season, but an injury suffered just after Christmas meant he didn't feature again during the 2012–13 campaign. He left Frome that summer to join Mangotsfield United, where he had previously been on loan.
