Career[]

Jefferson is a much-travelled player, having been with 19 different clubs in an nine year spell between 2000 and 2009. The longest he ever spent at a single club is two years, which he acheived at his first two clubs - Thame United and Oxford United. While at Oxford he had loan spells at Woking and Gravesend & Northfleet, before playing in quick succession for Forest Green Rovers, Woking (again), Bristol Rovers, Hemel Hempstead Town, Lewes, Worthing, Stevenage Borough, Eastleigh, Yeading, Havant & Waterlooville, Weymouth, Maidenhead United and Mansfield Town. He signed for Conference National side Wrexham in the summer of 2008, where he remained for a year, before joining Crawley Town in 2009. He was loaned to Rushden & Diamonds by Crawley, then joined Gainsborough Trinity in 2010 who in turn loaned him to Darlington. He then made a single substitute appearance for Weymouth before joining Hayes & Yeading and then Maidenhead United before the end of the 2010–11 season.

He moved twice more in the next year, firstly to Brackley Town in summer 2011, and then to Lincoln City in the January 2012 transfer window, where he scored six times in 14 league appearances. He joined Newport County on a six-month contract in 2013, but after making 17 league appearances, during which he scored twice, he was loaned out to Whitehawk. He made a return to Brackley for the end of the 2012–13 season.
