Jamie Forrester is a forward who spent two years as a Bristol Rovers player. He signed for Rovers in 2004 on a free transfer, but was only ever a third choice up front for the Gas behind Junior Agogo and Richard Walker. He made 52 appearances for Rovers, but only scored nine goals in that time, and during his second year with the club he was sent out on loan to Lincoln City.

Jamie started his own football academy in Lincoln in October 2007.

Unusually for an English player, Jamie's first professional club was one outside the UK - AJ Auxerre, which he joined in 1991 at the age of 16, but he found being away from home difficult and he signed for Leeds United in 1992 without having made any league appearances. He stayed at Leeds for three years, but only made nine league appearances in that time, and had loan spells at Southend United and Grimsby Town before making the move to Grimsby permanent in 1995. After two years with the Lincolnshire club he joined Scunthorpe United, also for two years, and then made the second foreign move of his career. He signed for FC Utrecht in 1999 but again found living in another country difficult and was quickly loaned back to an English club in Walsall. After the expiry of his loan spell at the Bescot Stadium he joined Northampton Town in another loan deal that later became permanent when they paid £150,000 for his services.

Jamie spent three years with the Cobblers and was then picked up on a free transfer by Hull City, from where he joined Rovers a year later in 2004. In 2006 Lincoln City became the third club to first loan him and then sign him, and he remained there for two years before joining Notts County in 2008. After a year with The Magpies he dropped out of the Football League to join Lincoln United in Division One South of the Northern Premier League, where he stayed for a year until being released in an effort to reduce the wage bill. He ended the season with a brief stint at Lincoln Moorlands Railway, before finally calling time on his playing career.
