Danzelle St Louis-Hamilton is a goalkeeper who joined Rovers on a month's loan from Stoke City in February 2009. He had no prior league experience before joining Rovers, and was signed as an emergency loan following an injury to backup goalie Mike Green, who had broken a bone in his hand.
He was brought onto the bench for the first time in Rovers' 3-0 victory over Yeovil Town on 17 February 2009, but was not used during the game, and was named as an unused substitute in every game played during his loan spell.
The only game he played for the club was for the reserves in a Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Cup quarter-final against Yate Town on 11 March 2009, which a young Rovers side lost 3–2 to their near neighbours.
Career[]
Danzelle first joined Watford in 2004, and spent two years in the Hornets youth system. After going through the exit trials in 2006 he was picked up by Stoke, and spent the next two years in their academy, before being awarded his first professional contract by The Potters in the summer of 2008 at the age of 18. After his loan spell at Rovers at the end of the 2008-09 season Danzelle returned to Stoke, who sent him out for a second loan period – this time to Conference North side Vauxhall Motors early in the 2009-10 season. He was loaned to Worcester City later the same season, but the deal was cut short when he suffered a torn thigh muscle during a match against St Albans City.
In January 2011 Stoke decided that he was not good enough to progress with them and he was released, later joining Darlington on non-contract terms, where he played three games, winning twice and drawing once.
He joined Fleetwood Town as their backup 'keeper during the 2011 summer break, but failed to make a single first team appearance during the 2011–12 season. He moved to Droylsden before the end of the campaign, where he played fourteen times in March and April 2012. After making a non-contract move to AFC Telford United in November 2012, where he failed to make any first team appearances, he joined Chelmsford City in February 2013.
