Danny Boxall is a former defender who played for Rovers between 2002 and 2004. He joined on a free transfer from Brentford and played 63 league games for Rovers, 71 in all competitions, without scoring a goal.
Danny's career was hampered throughout by injuries, and it was a knee injury that caused him to retire from professional football in 2004, at the age of 27. After his retirement Danny turned to modelling as a career, and he continued playing non-league football until the end of 2008, when he hung up his boots permanently.
Danny has also been capped at under-21 level by the Republic of Ireland.
Career[]
Danny began playing at Crystal Palace, but failed to make a major impact with the Eagles and made just eight league appearances for them in four years. While at Palace he had two loan spells at Oldham Athletic during the 1997-98 season. After leaving the club in 1998 he joined Brentford for four years, and then moved to Rovers in 2002.
After retiring from professional football Danny played for Whyteleafe and then ended his career at his home town club Croydon Athletic.
