Rovers ended a run of four consecutive defeats with a 3–2 League Two victory over Chesterfield. It maintained an impressive run of home form over the Spireites, with The Pirates having never lost on their own territory to the Derbyshire side in the 16 games up to this point.
Chesterfield twice came from behind, with Mark Randall equalising after Sam Togwell had found the back of his own net in the opening minutes of the game, and Brennan Dickenson again leveling things up after Joe Anyinsah had put Rovers ahead for the second time. Loanee Tom Eaves produced the winner ten minutes from time to earn all three points for The Gas.
