A four-game unbeaten run that had lifted Rovers out of the League One relegation zone came to an end against Exeter City, when they suffered a 2–0 defeat, thanks to a brace from half time substitute Daniel Nardiello.

Exeter striker Marcus Stewart rounded off his 20-year footballing career against the club where it all began when he came on as a second-half substitute, and another ex-Rovers man, Jamie Cureton, was also in the victorious side.
