Anthony Pulis is a midfielder who Rovers signed on a three-month loan from Stoke City in February 2008. Anthony is the son of former Rovers player Tony Pulis and is a Welsh Under-21 international.

Anthony also has a former Rovers player as a godfather, Ian Holloway, who was a babysitter for the Pulis family in his early days with the Pirates.

Anthony began his career at Portsmouth, but left the club after making just a single substitute appearance in the League Cup, joining Stoke in 2004 on a free transfer. Since joining Stoke he has failed to establish himself in the first team, and has gone out on loan to Torquay United, Plymouth Argyle, Grimsby Town and Bristol Rovers.

Pulis made just one substitute appearance for Rovers in the 2-0 away defeat to Doncaster Rovers. Midway through March 2008, Pulis was ruled out due to a thigh problem. He went to a specialist to treat the problem, but was recalled by Stoke on April 1st.

He joined Southampton ahead of the 2008-09 season, but injury kept him out of the team for the entire campaign. As part of his rehabilitation he was sent out on loan to Lincoln City in October 2009. The following year he again failed to make an impact on the Saints' first team and was sent out twice more on loan, firstly to Stockport County, where he scored his first senior goal, and then to Barnet, before being released in the summer of 2011.

In August 2011 he was signed on a one-year deal by League Two side Aldershot Town, but was released after just five months having made only one league start for them. Following this he moved across the Atlantic to join up with American side Orlando City in time for the start of the 2012 USL Pro season.
