Brazilian-born midfielder Alefe Santos is in his first year as a professional at Bristol Rovers, signing a year-long contract in the run up to the 2013–14 season.
He was drafted into the first team squad while still a second-year scholar in November 2012 due to a lengthy injury list leaving the senior side short of numbers. He was included on the bench for the first time in Rovers' 4–0 defeat to Port Vale on 20 November, and was brought on for the last half hour of the game, replacing Fabian Broghammer.
He was named amongst the substitutes several more times in the 2012–13 season, but didn't make another appearance on the pitch. He signed his first professional contract in April 2013, having been a major part of the Rovers under-18 side which won a league and cup double in 2013.
